NO
WAY!!! How could ANYONE think a Michael Ball fan was nuts?
(from
my reply to a letter from Debbie, which inspired me to write the poem.)
Alphabetical
Fans
Ardent, Bewitched, Caring or Crazy,
Devoted, Eager, Fanatic, maybe,
Gushy and Gooey, Happy, Insane
Joyful and Jolly and Kind are more names
Loving, Mushy, Nostalgic - (NOT NUTS!)
Obsessed and Proud, no ifs, ands and buts,
Quiet, or Quick, Responsive and Sharing,

Utterly dedicated, Very Wonderful fans.
With an X in his signature, Michael Ball is our man
So let's hear it now for all those Yelling, Zealous fans

To Martha:
Michael By the Numbers
Your poem is fantastic
What else can I say?
Except when I read it
It brightened my day!
This poetry thing
Has worked out quite well
It's happened to me
And I think it is swell!
It makes sleeping difficult,
Even in bed
With rhymes going round
And round in my head.
Michael fits everything,
from A up to Z
His voice and his smile
Inspire you and me.
Now here is the latest
from my overworked brain
Some numbers are running
Through my head like a train
Number one is our Michael
Two dimples has he
Three vids on the charts
We're all glad to see!
Four cheers we are shouting
Why stop with just three
I guess we could say
Michael's our cup of tea!
Five are the reasons
That he curls my toes
Talent, looks, attitude
Cuteness and I s'pose
You could all add the fifth one
I'll give you a hint
He's sexy and gorgeous
My word that makes six!
So far I've managed
To reach number seven
Michael's voice is the closest
I've yet gotten to heaven
Seven plus one
sure equals eight
The number of months
I still have to wait
To meet all the Ballfesters
Who come to New York
And Michael if your listening
It's a good place to work!
We'd all help you find
The place that we're staying
We'd make you feel welcome
That goes without saying.
Nine is the number
that's just before ten
And if you're all lucky
I won't say it again...
We each of us have
our own point of view
But I think we'll agree
Michael Ball, we love you.

Ode
to Love, Friendship, Michael and Ballfesting
That
poetry bug has bitten again
When
I should be getting in my bed
It
just keeps nagging me.
I
know I should be fast asleep
And
dreaming lovely dreams
Instead
of writing another poem
But
nothing works it seems.
So
here I am again dear friends
Again
I'm forced to write
"Love
Changes Everything"
From
"Aspects of Love" it came
And changed
his life forever
Now nothing's
quite the same.
Not
for Michael, not for me,
Nor
others I feel certain.
A
lot of lives were changed
No
matter how many other stars
Come
along the Great White Way,
No
one else can touch our hearts
So
Michael you have taught us
Love
changes everything, that's true!
It
changes how we think and act
It
makes us better people
It
makes us want to share
Our joy
and love and happiness
And
thanks to this great mailing list
We've
all found lots of friends,
Who
share the love we feel for you
And
on whom we can depend.
We
thought it would be fun
So
"Ballfests" were begun.
I
met another Michael fan
At
a laundromat near here
We
only stayed a short while
But
an idea soon was clear.
And
invite others to come too,
And
we'd spend the afternoon
We
met for lunch, we signed a bear
And
took some photos too,
We
had scrapbooks to show
some
hugs and some smiles
starting
meeting each other
And
flourished and spread,
Our
First Annual Ballfest
Our
cheerleaders cheered,
We
hung up Ballfest's first banner
We held
a raffle and an auction
We
watched Michael's videos
and
realized something new.
that
were formed when we met,
Made
us all feel like family
Feelings
we'll never forget!
Everything
went as planned
Except
we got too little sleep!
Next
summer we're planning
We're
going to New York City
And
I've come here to say
Love
does indeed change things
Michael
Ball you've inspired us!
We
all want to thank you,
And
Ballfesting's our way
When
friendships take place.

Changes Everything"

Happy
Birthday Fan Club list
When my server's down, you're truly missed
I sure am glad that number 403
Includes yours truly, little old me!
It doesn't seem like a year at all
Since this list was born, celebrating Michael Ball
A year that included Royal Albert Hall
I wish I had been there with y'all
Next year about this time
I'll probably be writing one more rhyme
And asking Michael, to shake and rattle
His tail feathers somewhere near Seattle
For those of us, who can't make the trip
To the United Kingdom not even by ship
Michael, how 'bout coming to our next Ballfest
So we can see and hear the guy we love best
I'll try to come back down to earth
But I'll be praying for all I'm worth
That next year will be the time
To review a concert in a bit of rhyme
Gill and Maureen, and you too, Chris
You're a combo that never could miss
So Happy Birthday fan club, I really insist
You are the very greatest Michael Ball list.

Thanksgiving
Day
There's
so much that I'm thankful for
And lots that I could say
But I guess it's all been said before
So tomorrow I will pray
That all of you are happy
And that your Thanksgiving Day
Will be a very special one
In a very special way
No matter where you live
Or if you celebrate the day
I hope that love and happiness
Will find you anyway
You all have given me so much
You've helped me find the way
To learn the real true meaning of
This very special day
Among the things I'm thankful for
Are sharing, caring, giving
Kind folks and hugs and happiness
And the joy of truly living
So thank you all for being here
And for all the things you say
For smiles and news of Michael
To brighten up my day
You all are very special
For in your own quite special way
You have given special meaning to
My own Thanksgiving Day.

For
Martha
No
more talk of lurking, if you please
The very idea brings me to my knees
Martha, without you to light our fire
I think I would feel like an old flat tire
I couldn't write a poem, or have half so much fun
My brain would be completely and absolutely numb
So until you get a new job description
Or unless you cancel your subscription
Just hang on in there, and keep in touch
Cause you're the poet we all love most.
We can't accept your apology, cause it wasn't necessary
And we can't accept your absence, the thought is much too scary
I didn't hear any whining, I'm sure everyone would agree
You had every right to share your grief for all of us to see
So hang in there girl, and don't feel too badly
Just keep on loving Michael Ball madly
In the meantime, all our thoughts are with you
And lots of our prayers are on their way too.
Love and hugs,
Jackie

The Star Upon Our Tree
It's nearly time again to decorate our
tree,
And remember all the things that Christmas means to me.
Holly, candles, mistletoe, and lights that all can see,
But my favorite decoration is the star upon our tree.
I know I've never met you, nor am I ever likely to,
We live so very far apart, but if I ever really do
I would want to tell you one thing, that is true as it can be
That you're a part of Christmas, like the star upon our tree.
Because through you I've found new friends, a world I never knew,
A world of caring, loving folks, and it's all because of you.
You have set a fine example that all of us can see,
And you light up all our Ballfests like that star upon my tree.
Warm winter wishes to you, Cathy and your extended family,
and Merry Christmas, Michael!
