This is Christine's "New
Look" and I think it looks great!

By a rather unique coincidence, yesterday I received a letter from another
BFN and MBFC list member who lives in Arizona, and who, as she once put it,
has " 5 kids 2 dogs, 2 birds (Cossette and Marius), 2 gerbils and a
turtle (named Spot)" Well, one of those "5 kids" is
her teenaged daughter. Here's some of what her mom said:
>> The other reason I am writing is, I don't know if I told you
that my mother in law has been diagnosed with cancer. She has lost her hair
as most chemotherapy patients do. She is only 54 years old! Anyway, my
beautiful 15 year old daughter, has decided to shave her head as a
symbol of support for her granny!! But the BEST part is, she is
donating her hair to "Locks of Love", a company that makes wigs
and hair pieces for children under the age of 18. 50% of their donations
come from other children. Since Michael's fans are SO awesome, I wondered
if you would just post a link to this site on your next post. I don't
expect everyone to go and shave their heads, but IF they are so inclined,
this is a wonderful cause to donate to!! I will send you a picture of
my daughter with her bald head and maybe I can get it posted online
somewhere!! Thanks for your help!!

These stories make me feel so proud and so very honored to be a part of
this wonderful extended family of Michael Ball fans. These young woman are
exactly what Ballfesting is all about, because, in addition to the fun, the
chats, the shared memories, concerts, musicals, raffles, auctions, the
meals and the friendships, there is also the caring and sharing, giving a
gift of love to people that we may never meet, but who may desperately need
our love and our care...and whatever we can share.
Some of you took part in project Debbie, and many have helped Jinty through
a difficult weekend, you were there for me when we lost our Philip in
August 0f 1999, and your prayers have gone out to so many others when they have
needed your love and support. We have cheered when our high school
and college seniors graduated, and seen and heard Michael's concerts
through the eyes and ears of others of us...
My good pal and stage door buddy, Rachel, said it best last night when she
posted a message to the two Michael Ball lists:
>> YOU ALL ARE THE MOST AMAZING AND WONDERFUL PEOPLE IN THE WORLD
FILLED WITH KINDNESS AND CARING AND GREAT SENSES OF HUMOR. YOUR
THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR PEOPLE IN GOOD TIMES AND BAD MAKE ME PROUD TO BE A
MEMBER OF SUCH GROUPS AND PROUD TO CALL YOU FRIENDS NEAR AND FAR...I don't
know - maybe it's the Christmas spirit kicking in but I mean every word I
said, so to all of you thank you for being who you are, and I guess this
means that I MUST Thank Michael for bringing us together. Rachel

Thanks from me too...to all of you ~ and especially to Michael Ball ~ who
is the link who brought us all together and still connects us all.
Love, Hugs, and have a Michaelful day, Jackie
:-)
